It was exciting to rally various cross-functional partners around a vision that I was passionate about, giving multiple presentations and tweaking my plan accordingly. I learnt how crucial it is for designers to be able to precisely articulate design rationale and consider a proposed solution from multiple angles like engineering feasibility, business impact and user needs.
While working on my side project around building the composer component System, I learnt to approach a problem from the systems level. I created components, libraries, and new patterns providing support for the central design system at Facebook and how it extends across multiple teams on the Facebook App.
